Camping


Fall is a beautiful time for camping! Boulder Campground will be open through 12:00p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019, Dam West and McNair Campgrounds will be open through 12:00p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Dam East Spillway Campground and Hazlet State Park Campgrounds are open year round.

Enjoy the cool fall temperatures with family and friends while roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over a crackling campfire.

 


Haunted Trail


The 2019 Haunted Trail at Carlyle Lake will be Friday, October 18th and Saturday October 19th from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The trail will begin at the Tractor Supply parking lot with a hayride down to the Little Prairie Nature trail where ghost and goblins await.

Food vendors will be available in the Tractor Supply parking lot.

Admission to the trail is $9 per person; all proceeds will go to support the 2020 Fireworks Spectacular.

The Haunted Trail is supported by groups who volunteer their time to set up spooky spots along the Little Prairie Nature Trail and haunt the visitors as they pass through.  If you are interested in volunteering on the trail contact Peggy Hilmes at (618) 594-4354 and see if you can claim the prize for the most ghoulish spot.

 


Pick of the Patch Fall Festival

The Carlyle Street Fair Committee “Pick of the Patch” fall festival will be held at Dam West Day Use Area on Saturday October, 19, 2019 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The festival will include arts, crafts and food vendors.

The City of Carlyle Pumpkin Patch will be set up in the Dam West Day Use Area. This annual event includes children’s activities such as face painting, pumpkin painting, and bounce houses.

 


Campground Halloween Activities


Saturday, October 26, 2019 Halloween Activities at Dam West Campground:

5:30 p.m. – Campground Costume Parade

6:00 p.m. – Halloween Mystery Program at the West Bay Amphitheater

6:30 – 8:00 p.m. – Campground Trick or Treating
