Carlyle Lake Beaches Open

As of May 17 2018, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Carlyle Lake Project has opened all beaches for the 2018 recreation season. Keyesport, Dam West, McNair, and Coles Creek beaches are all available for public use.

Prior to opening, beaches must be inspected by divers to ensure there are no submerged objects that could be a hazard to visitors. Buoys must also be placed to mark the designated swimming area. When visiting the Carlyle Lake beaches, please remember that alcohol is prohibited on the sand and water portions of the beach. Glass and other dangerous objects, such as lawn darts or horseshoes, are not permitted on the beach. Beach users must stay within the designated swim areas.

An established dog friendly beach is available at Coles Creek beach. Dogs on a six foot leash are allowed on a designated portion of the Coles Creek beach. Dogs are not permitted at any other Carlyle Lake beaches.

Please remember to always wear your life jacket when in, on, or around the water. Life jacket loaner stations are available at Keyesport, Dam West, McNair, and Coles Creek beaches and boat ramps.
