For many years the City of Carlyle has partnered with Charter Communications to provide cable service to our citizens under a non-exclusive Franchise agreement. Sometimes Charter Communications makes changes to their programming and they notify us of the changes.  To view the most current programming changes please view the details from the correspondences below.

August 30, 2019

Channel Lineup Changes:

  • On or around October 15, 2019, FOX College Sports will cease transmission on SV Tier 2 / SPP Tier 2, Spectrum channels 219, 220, and 221.
  • On or around October 19, 2019, ESPN Classic, located on Spectrum Channel 215, will no longer be available.

Programming fees charged by TV networks carried on Charter are the greatest single factor in higher cable prices, and continue to rise. Despite Charter’s best efforts to control these costs, this has resulted in a change in the rates they charge the customers.

Effective on or after September 6, 2019, customers are being noticed via bill message of the following monthly pricing changes, which will take effect on or after October 6, 2019. Customer promotional rates will not change until the end of the promotion period.

Services/Products/Equipment  –  Pricing Adjustment

  • Broadcast TV Surcharge
    • Will increase by $1.51. This reflects the costs incurred from local Broadcast TV Stations.
  • Spectrum Receiver
    • Will increase by $0.49 per receiver.
  • Digital Adapter
    • Will increase by $2.00 per adapter.
  • Spectrum TV Select
    • Will increase by $7.50.
  • Spectrum TV Silver
    • Will increase by $7.50.
  • Spectrum TV Gold
    • Will increase by $7.50.

August 14, 2019

On or around August 22, 2019, Charter will launch the Atlantic Coast Conference Network (“ACCN”). ACCN will launch in high definition on Spectrum Select channel 231 on the channel lineup serving our community.

ACCN is a new 24/7 national network dedicated to ACC sports. Customers will enjoy 24/7 coverage of ACC sports, 40 football games, 150 men’s and women’s basketball games, 250 Olympic sports events, and 1000 digital exclusive events on ACCN Extra. ACCN’s first football game on August 29, 2019, features reigning national champion Clemson in their home opener against Georgia Tech.

August 1, 2019

On or around August 30, 2019, Charter Communications (“Charter”), locally known as Spectrum, will launch FETV (Family Entertainment TV) on Select channel 243 on the channel line-up serving our community. To view a current Spectrum channel lineup visit www.spectrum.com/channels.

At Charter we continue to enhance our services, offer more entertainment choices and deliver the best value to our customers. Like every business, periodically Charter reviews its pricing and makes occasional price adjustments. As a result, on or around August 6, 2019, customers will be notified of the following price adjustments through bill messaging. Effective on or after September 10, 2019, pricing will be adjusted for unreturned equipment as follows:

  • On or around May 24, 2019, Olympusat ceased transmission of its Hillsong Channel located on Spectrum channels 104, 867 HD
  • On or around July 12, 2019, Olympusat is replacing its Hillsong Channel with Upliftv located on Spectrum channels 104, 867 HD
  • On or around July 20, 2019, Univision Deportes located on Spectrum Channels 302, 880 HD, will be rebranded from Univision Deportes to TUDN (meaning “my sports network”)
  • On or around August 21, 2019, EVINE located on Spectrum Channels 163, 747 HD, will be re-branded from EVINE to ShopHQ

Charter Communications (“Charter”), locally know as Spectrum, has some exciting news to share with you. Effective on or around May 13, 2019, Charter will launch Spectrum Originals on-demand on channel 2010. Spectrum Originals is a premier destination for premium original series available exclusively to Spectrum video subscribers on-demand and ad-free. This free service will launch with the Sony and Bruckheimer-produced drama “L.A.’s Finest,” starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba. Additional projects include the high-octane street race drama “Curfew,” co-produced with Sky UK, and the Lionsgate series “Manhunt.”

An initiative of Charter Communications, Spectrum Originals is the latest expansion of Charter’s market-leading video offerings, which include regional sports networks and its award-winning Spectrum News services. In addition, effective on or around April 30, 2019, Charter will launch a video-on-demand fitness subscription channel, Gaiam TV Fit & Yoga, allowing customers to access premium yoga and fitness training directly on TV. With more than 100 programs available, Gaiam TV Fit & Yoga offers something for all fitness levels, interests and demographics. Program choices will include cardio, pilates, yoga, meditation, pre and postnatal exercise, sculpting and toning, walking, circuit training and dance, as well as programs tailored for certain health conditions including arthritis and stress-related illnesses.

Customers with Spectrum On Demand can subscribe to Gaiam TV Fit & Yoga for $6.99 per month. Customers interested in subscribing to Gaiam TV Fit & Yoga should contact Spectrum. To view a current channel lineup visit www.spectrum.com/channels.

We are also making our customers aware that on or around April 4, 2019, LOVE, located on Spectrum Channel 195 will cease transmission and programming will change to infomercials on the channel lineups serving your community.

RE: Spectrum Television Channel Line-up – Programming Service Addition

Charter Communications, locally known as Spectrum, will be making changes to our channel
lineup for customers in the City of Carlyle. Effective on or after March 20, 2019, Cheddar (HD)
will be added to channel 237, SPP Tier 1 HD.

In addition, effective on or after March 29, 2019, Cine Sony (HD) & Pasiones (HD), will be added
to SPP Latino View HD. Cine Sony (HD) channel 370, and Pasiones (HD) channel 364.

RE: Charter Communications – Broadcast Surcharge Rate Adjustment

At Charter (locally known as Spectrum), we continue to enhance our services, offer more of the best
entertainment choices, and deliver the best value. We are committed to offering our customers with
products and services we are sure they will enjoy. Containing costs and efficiently managing our
operations are critical to providing customers with the best value possible. Like every business, Charter
faces rising costs that require occasional price adjustments. As a result, customers will be notified
that effective on or after February 21, 2019, pricing will be adjusted for the following residential video
service:

  • Broadcast TV Surcharge will change from $9.95 to $11.99.

Charter Communications, locally known as Spectrum, previously provided notice that the Spectrum TV Gold package would no longer include STARZ, STARZENCORE, or their related channels. That notice was provided in error. STARZ, STARZENCORE and their related channels will continue to be included in the Spectrum TV Gold package.

RE: Charter Communications – Programming Notice

Charter Communications, locally known as Spectrum, is making its customers aware that effective on or after
February 15, 2019, the following changes will occur on the channel line-up serving your community:

The Spectrum TV Silver package will no longer include Cinemax and its related channels. Cinemax and its
related channels will be available for subscription as an a la carte service only. The monthly a la carte
subscription rate will be reduced from $15.00 to $9.99.

The Spectrum TV Gold package will no longer include Cinemax, STARZ, STARZENCORE, and EPIX or their related
channels. These services will be available for subscription as a la carte services only. The monthly a la carte
subscription rates for Cinemax, STARZ, STARZENCORE, EPIX and their related channels will each be reduced
from $15.00 to the following rates: Cinemax – $9.99, STARZ – $9.99, STARZENCORE – $5.99, EPIX – $5.99.

Pricing for monthly a la carte TMC subscription service will be reduced from $15.00 to $9.99.

If customers would like to subscribe to any of these a la carte services which are now available outside of a
