In recognition of Illinois’ Free Fishing Days June 6th – June 9th and National Get Outdoors Days, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in partnership with Henkel’s Hook and Arrow will be hosting a “Reeling in the Fish” Kid’s Fishing Tournament. The tournament will be held on Saturday, June 7that the City of Carlyle Fish Hatchery Pond located on Illinois Route 50, one mile east of Carlyle.
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. The tournament will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. giving participant’s an hour and a half of fishing time.
Trophies will be awarded for total weight in two age categories, ten and under and eleven to fifteen. First, second and third place trophies will be awarded in both categories.
