Popular local band the Hair Syndicate will start playing at 8:30 p.m. for a fundraiser for Mark Hodapp.
Benefits from the event will go to help pay medical expenses incurred by Mark Hodapp of the Carlyle Union Banner staff. Mark is fighting an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Hodapp has been covering Clinton County for newspapers since 1978, when he joined the staff of the Centralia Sentinel. He later joined the Union Banner staff after it was purchased by the Sentinel.
Admission will be free. There will be a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing and a portion of bar sales that night will go to the medical fund. Funds collected will be limited to medical expenses only.
