CARLYLE LAKE – You could earn $75.00 for two hours of your time participating in a focus group session if you are an adult male boater between the ages of 20 and 60, who is available on the afternoon of September 7, 2014. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Carlyle Lake is partnering with the Corps of Engineers Natural Resources Education Foundation, doing business as The Corps Foundation, to get feedback from our customers to help us understand why some don’t wear life jackets while boating and swimming. The Corps Foundation is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting our nation’s lakes, rivers and their many resources.
The focus group sessions will be held at the Carlyle Lake Visitor Center in the Dam West recreation area. The first two-hour session for 20-40 year old participants will begin with refreshments at 12:15 p.m. and the second session will begin for 40-60 year old participants with refreshments at 3:15 p.m. Focus group participants do not have to own a boat but you must be an adult male who has been boating. This study is funded by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security’s Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.
